Pirates vs. Ninjas
I was on wikipedia doing some research, and the Ulimate (sport) tab caught me eye. Ultimate Frisbee? Sure. The article had a great diagram, I couldn't resist! Notice the team names! This is what separates Ultimate from other international sports..."The Spirit of the Game."
Who do you think would win? You probably are thinking "Ninjas. They throw things all the time." True...their skills are probably superiors. However, the Pirates have the advantage. Why? Because everybody will be rooting for Pirates to win. They are the ultimate underdogs (that win) They are the villains you like. Even the Ninja's want the pirates to win. Therefore, any gap in skill would be cancelled by this. But I'd like to hear your opinions on it too.

Ninja will win, of course, they have the replacement and other mad ninja skillz.

In outrage to your statment, all the pirates pour across the field interupting the course of the game, shouting unintelligble profanities and personal thoughts about stealing rum from ninjas. Of course, by the time they get to the other side, all of the ninja fans have misteriously vanished...happens every playoff. Some pirates never learn. I guess until they manage to capture a fan from the ninja's side of the field, they'll never realize there is no rum to be had.
no contest - ninjas, while pirate will inevitably have numbers, the ninja have skills with traps and tools. this will first evenout the number of people then they can use the ability "backstab" to destroy there remaining ranks.
