Engrish 3.1 and Finest Fantasy
Update! One more funny Engrish for you, from right outside my office.
This guy is giving an interesting salute in the picture, but it is the title that is FUNNY.
went shopping in Sannomiya, Umeda, and Namba, 3 of the biggest in the WORLD...in one day. Nope, I hardly scratched the surface of any but Sannomiya. Our hotel is very near there though, and it is our major hub for travel most of the time when the folks will be here so...I SHOULD know it most.
Here is some more of that interesting Engrish, as well as other bizarre things.
One that I found when on a series of one-way and maze-like grouping of escalators that if you don't take the right route always lead you back...is this.

The next photo I call "if you put those books next to eachother on the sales rack, one will be scoffed at, and the other will produce a loss of interest."
I don't think there is anything RIGHT about the next one. This is a very popular shop for trendy young urbanites. Even worse? The clothes are so "broken-in" lookin as to make you look like you are homeless at times.
This looks somewhere between "Main Source" and something I would not dare type. I will say that it is a saucy men's clothing store though. Awful Engrish!
This next one is jus for my sister, since I know she'd be surprised about there really being a "TURTLE! Club." (I was anyways)
There are far too many English problems with this next one to get into it even. I would like to think that myself with a frisbee equals "NEW HERO APPEARS ON THE SCENE" But you can only take down so many terrorists with a single triangluar piece of flying plastic. I won this, by the way, by participating in the Halloween thing a good long while back.

Also, here's a pic of one of the strangest store-fronts in the area amongst the towers and giant blocks.
WARNING!
The rest is only for those interested in video gaming. The others should turn back now, or suffer from confusion. No, really, you will be confused at some point. I'm sure of it. So that's the end of the blog for the rest of today for the others! 17 days left to come home...

I would have never thought it, but the term "FF" refering to the Final Fantasy games and movies and cards and about 1/2 of everything else Squaresoft has done in it's past...has bee REAPPROPRIATED! Properly so even. In English. "FF" now means "Finest Fantasy" appropriately the labels they are using for FFV and FFVI for GBA. Oh, and FFVI, that we have been told little about other than that it is officially going to be worked on? Yeah, well, it comes out...Wednesday! They didn't give much of a "heads-up" to anybody it seems.
While I was watching this video, a man to my left play XBox360 basically got told off by his girlfriend. Something like: "What are you doing over THERE? Can't you see there is a display for the Wii over here? What time you are wasting. I thought you had taste." That's what I like about Japanese women, hahaha.
Two more pics, showing things that definitely are new to my memory of how FFVI was, but without corrupting what I know to be the sheer excellence of the title for SNES (visually speaking, anyways, it seems to be very little different besides the extra stuff I see.)

Too bad! I'll have to wait for FFIII and you'll have to wait for FFVI. Truly, a "Finest Fantasy." If they don't screw anything up!
I could just import it though......
